Degree of School Meetings Effectiveness as Perceived by Teachers and Principals In Some Schools at Irbid District in Jordan
Abstract
This study aimed at investigating the degree of school meetings effectiveness as perceived by teachers and principals at Irbid district - north of Jordan. A 29-item Likert-type questionnaire was administered to 133 teachers and 46 principals of a convenient sample. The findings revealed a moderate degree of perceived school meetings effectiveness in general. Meetings Procedures got a high degree. Meetings' Agenda and Deliberations came next compared with a low degree for the other two dimensions, namely management of time and the worthiness of meetings. No statistically significant differences that could be attributed to demographic characteristics were found except for differences between principals and teachers. The study concluded with conclusions and recommendations.
