Abstract

"Differences in recitations of the Holy Quran are one of Islamic legislation's valuable treasures. These different faces of recitation contain meanings and indications of immense legislative value in the areas of Quranic explanation, language, and regulations. The differences go beyond ordering the Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) to recite the seven recitations of the Holy Quran accurately to actual understanding and analysis which leads to enlightenment and conclusion drawing on what these differences mean. This also leads to searching for the effects of these recitations. The Holy Quran remains miraculous in the broadest sense of the word keeping its miracle alive with its preservation till the day of judgment. This is testimony to the saying of Allah: ""We have descended the remembrance, and We of it are preserving."" Sura Alhejr, Verse 9. The miracle of the Quran is revealed in its language and meanings, in its accurate inferences and what can be deducted from them, in its different faces of explanation, and in its legislations and revelations. This is as Allah has said: ""Then it is our responsibility to reveal it."" Sura Alqeyama, Verse 19. This research is a modest attempt at explaining five different vocabulary instances from Part (15) of the Holy Quran Sura (Alisra'a) which are proven to have different recitations. These differences cause profound effects on legislation, reveal leniency and flexibility in legislation, or points to hidden language which adds a wholistic view.
