
The Journal of College of Sharia and Islamic Studies (JCSIS) at Qatar University is a peer-reviewed, bilingual, open access journal. It provides a forum for quality research in multidisciplinary classical and contemporary Islamic studies in both Arabic and English from all over the world. Since 1980, JCSIS has established itself as a valuable resource both for scholars and students of Islamic Studies as well as for libraries. JCSIS encourages contributions from all branches of Islamic Studies with a view to deepening historical research on Islam, in both theory and practice, from historical and social-science perspectives since its emergence until modern times. JCSIS bridges East-West researchers and readers and presents up-to-date research.

The College of Shariaa and Islamic Studies at Qatar University invites researchers and experts to participate in the Research

Note: All submitted research papers that fulfill the stated conditions and criteria will be subject to scientific evaluation and peer-review, and will be published upon acceptance in the corresponding Special Issue of the Journal of the College of Shariaa and Islamic Studies (JCSIS).

Abstracts and research papers can be submitted in either Arabic or English.
Important dates:
- Deadline for receipt of abstracts and CVs: 15/02/2024
- Author notification of abstract review result by the committee: 28/02/2024
- Deadline for full paper submission: 01/08/2024
- Authors notification of papers’ initial acceptance by the committee and peer-review stage initiation: 30/08/2024
- Receipt of papers final version from authors in light of the peer-review reports: 10/10/2024
- Publication of the expected Issue: 30/01/2025
