Abstract

This study aims to study the training needs of basic school headmasters in jerash Govern rate and get acquainted with the impact of some independent variables ( gender, qualification , experience ) on training needs. To achieve the study goals a tool for measuring the training needs of basic school headmasters was developed, Its credibility and stability were verified . Stability coefficient was (0.85). The study sample consisted of (102) headmasters and headmistresses. The results showed that training needs in general, and in the field of development and modernization in particular were high. In the field of planning, organization, decision making, guidance , and coordination , they were average. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in training needs· due to gender or experience. There were statistically significant differences in training needs due qualification in favour of Bachelor degree holders whose needs were greater.
