الملخص
هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن مستوى الضغوط النفسية لدى أولياء أمور الأطفال المعاقين عقليًا في مدينة حائل، والكشف عن الفروق في مستوى هذه الضغوط حسب متغيرات الجنس والمستوى التعليمي للوالدين، ومستوى الإعاقة للطفل. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (58) من أولياء الأمور الذين شُخِّص أبناؤهم بأنهم معاقون عقليًا، إما إعاقة عقلية شديدة أو متوسطة، واستخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي، ومقياس السرطاوي والشخص (1998) لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة مستوى مرتفعًا للضغوط النفسية لدى أولياء أمور الأطفال المعاقين عقليًا في مدينة حائل، كما وجدت فروق دالة إحصائيًا في مستوى الضغوط النفسية تعزى إلى متغير الجنس لصالح أمهات الأطفال المعاقين عقليًا، ولأثر المستوى التعليمي لصالح الماجستير والدكتوراه، ودرجة إعاقة الطفل لصالح الإعاقة الشديدة. وبناء على نتائج الدراسة توصي الباحثة ببناء برامج علاجية؛ لتخفيف أثر الضغوط النفسية لدى أولياء أمور الأطفال المعاقين عقليًا، وإلى زيادة اهتمام الجهات ذات العلاقة بتقديم خدمات الدعم النفسي والاجتماعي والاقتصادي لأولياء الأمور.
