Abstract
The main purpose of this study was to investigate the present state of use of computer and the Internet by students of the Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and what are their future perspectives. The study sample consisted of 145 students from four colleges. The researcher used a questionnaire comprised 45 items. The results indicated that %44,1 of study sample have learned how to use computer by themselves, while %42.1 of the sample have learned how to use the Internet by their friends. Result also showed that %92.4 of the students did not use the Internet in the university. In other aspects, this study found that there were significant differences between students' opinions and future perspectives toward the using of computer and the Internet in their study according to the years of experience of using the computer and the Internet, for the benefit of the students who have high experience.
