Abstract

The Study was aimed to identify the students reading interests in different School levels, and the effects of School level, sex, and grade on students interests. To achieve this, a questionnaire was developed by the researcher and filled by 745 students in grade four through high school. The results of the study revealed: (1) There is a significant difference in students interests attribute to grade and school level. (2) There is a significant difference in students interests in middle school attribute to sex, while there were no significant differences between boys and girls in elementary and high school level. (3) Students show interest in reading about Prophets life, Islamic war, Islamic world problems, adventures, hobbies, and stories about brave people
