Recording : A Research on the Written Mind and its Limits
Abstract
This study aims at revealing that recording in the Arabic culture involved drawbacks and lacked accuracy. It explores the researches that scrutinized recording in the Arabic culture, showing to the reader that our references are divided into two types: methodological and evidentiary resources. The former are the scripts which appreciated recording in the history of the Arab culture. Such texts provide us with significant evidence that illustrate early writers' awareness of the importance of this stage. This evidence also allows us to demonstrate that the Arab mind was aware of written recording. As for evidentiary references, they are the recorded texts which include drawbacks and inadequacies in terms of the presence of utterances and their aspects in the written texts.
