Ansaq in Arts and Humanities is a peer-reviewed, semi-annual regional academic journal issued by the College of Arts and Sciences at Qatar University and published Qatar University Press. The journal is dedicated to publishing original scientific research in humanities, social sciences, and literature, as well as all interdisciplinary fields related to society and human beings. This includes linguistic and literary studies, critical analysis, media and translation studies, cultural studies, visual arts and music, historical and anthropological studies. The journal accepts submissions in Arabic, English, and French languages. The journal embraces cultural diversity, establishing itself as an intellectual and knowledge production hub for the Middle East region.

Focus and Scope

Ansaq journal welcomes interested authors to submit original in-depth research papers in the fields of media, history, anthropology, sociology, psychology, political science, international relations, translation studies, literary and critical studies, cultural studies, linguistics, philosophy, visual arts, music, and related areas.

Ansaq journal encourages research that transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries and that provides innovative insights moving beyond traditional/classical approaches, while contributing to achieving a deep understanding of complex phenomena in social sciences and humanities.

 

Conditions and guidelines

  • Submissions must adhere to the conditions and guidelines stated on the journal’s website.
  • Research published in the journal is subject to peer review, in line with international publishing standards.

 

Important dates

  • The deadline for submitting research papers is the end of March 2024.
  • Accepted papers will be published in Volume 8, Issue 2, 2024.

The journal was classified in the field of Arts as (Q2), in media and communication as (Q3), and in humanities (interdisciplinary) as (Q3).
