الملخص

يحظى محو الأمية الغذائية باهتمام كبير في جميع أنحاء العالم، ويكتسب زخمًا في الدول العربية. يعدّ تعزيز محو الأمية الغذائية والتغذوية بين المراهقين العرب كأداة تمكين واعدة مهمة يمكن أن تحميهم من سوء التغذية. تهدف هذه الدراسة الإقليمية إلى تقييم حالة المعرفة التغذوية للمراهقين ولأولياء أمورهم في 10 دول عربية. أجريت الدراسة على 5401 مراهق وولي أمر، في الفترة من 29 أبريل إلى 6 يونيو 2022. وقد استُخدم مقياس محو الأمية التغذوية للمراهقين (ANLS) والاستبيان القصير لمحو الأمية الغذائية (SFLQ)؛ لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة. أظهرت النتائج أن لدى أكثر من ربع المراهقين العرب (28%)، ونحو (60%) من أولياء أمورهم معرفة غذائية سيئة إلى معدومة. احتل المراتب الثلاث الأولى بانعدام الثقافة الغذائية دولة قطر (44%) ولبنان (37.4%) والمملكة العربية السعودية (34.9%). أظهرت الدراسة وجود عوامل مؤثرة مباشرة في مستويات المعرفة التغذوية للمراهقين العرب؛ منها: عمر المراهقين، وجنسهم، ومستواهم التعليمي، والحالة الصحية للوالدين بما فيها وزنهما، ومستوى تعليم الوالدين الغذائي، وعدد الأطفال في كل أسرة، ورعاية أولياء الأمور، والوضع الوظيفي لدى أولياء الأمور، وإدراج التثقيف الغذائي في مناهج المدارس. يعدّ نقص المعرفة التغذوية بين المراهقين العرب تحديًا ذا أولوية تجب معالجته؛ لتحقيق عددٍ من أهداف التنمية المستدامة؛ وخاصة الهدفين الثاني والرابع.
