Abstract

A revolution in our ability to observe air pollution and its impacts on health has been rapidly happening largely unobserved to many since it is really occurring up in space. Satellites are constantly characterizing levels of a range of compounds in the air, and what is truly unique and powerful is that we now have information across the globe, even in remote regions. Atmospheric scientists have teamed with health scientists to use this information to better understand how air pollution impacts disease in every country and what can be done to reduce air pollution-related disease.
